How are GLGP applications reviewed?
  1. APPLICATION REVIEW

Energy Efficiency Alberta conducts a detailed review of the proposed project and associated financial information. The applicant and/or participant may be required to provide further information as we complete our review. If the application does not meet the program criteria, we may propose alternative programs or approaches to provide the needed support.

  1. CONDITIONAL OFFER OF SUPPORT

Energy Efficiency Alberta may decide to provide a conditional offer of support to the applicant, subject to a number of terms and conditions. The conditional offer letter will set out the maximum value of the guarantee which Energy Efficiency Alberta is willing to extend.

  1. APPLICANT’S ACCEPTANCE OF CONDITIONAL OFFER

The applicant advises Energy Efficiency Alberta in writing of its intention to proceed with concluding definitive legal agreements subject to the terms and conditions outlined in the conditional offer of support.

  1. GUARANTEE AGREEMENT

Energy Efficiency Alberta provides the loan guarantee agreement to the financial institution and enters into a participation agreement with the participant. The guarantee will be provided at the point of financial close for the project after all regulatory approvals are in place, and at the same time, or after, all other financing is put in place.
