Energy Efficiency Alberta is now accepting applications for the Energy Efficiency Education Grant Program.
The application closes on December 15, 2018, at 11:59 MST. Apply here.
Energy Efficiency Alberta is involved in Alberta communities, from providing educational grants, to supporting technical training to participating in community events. As a new agency, we’re eager to share information about our programs and listen to Albertans about how we can help their homes and businesses become more energy efficient.
Energy Efficiency Grants
We are currently focused on providing grants in three key areas:
- youth education;
- industry training, capacity development and innovation; and
- community projects.
Energy Efficiency Alberta has provided $8 million in grant funding over three years to 13 organizations who are already doing impressive work in these areas. The grants will allow these organizations to do more of what they are already experts at, reaching more Albertans in their homes, classrooms, businesses and communities.
Examples of grant-funded projects include professional development for Alberta teachers; industry training at a reduced cost; energy-use education for new Canadians, seniors and indigenous households; and energy-efficient upgrades for households. The grants will benefit a wide range of Albertans, from technical professional working to become certified energy managers, to educators looking for classroom resources on energy use, to rural Albertans wanting to reduce their energy use to net-zero.
